Tooth Fairy Factory, LLC was founded by Dr. Richard J. Olin, a practicing dentist of over thirty years and former Rahway, New Jersey School System Dentist. Our mission is to transform the way children experience dental care — turning what is often seen as intimidating into something magical, engaging, and joyful.
At the heart of Tooth Fairy Factory is Buddy the Tooth, an inquisitive, well-informed molar brought to life in Dr. Olin's debut children's book, The Story of Buddy. What began as a story with whimsical illustrations by artist Stephanie Wexler has since grown into a larger world of dental education — including an animated film and character-driven learning tools that help children form healthy, happy relationships with their teeth.
Building on this imaginative foundation, My First Teeth Club™ was created to reframe the very first dental visit. The Club provides families with a special welcome kit designed to turn a child's first appointment into an adventure. With Buddy's personal welcome letter, a membership card, playful "tickets" for each step of the visit, and fun keepsakes like sunglasses, a badge, and a certificate, every detail is crafted to help children feel safe, proud, and excited about their smiles — while giving parents confidence that their child's introduction to dentistry will be positive and lasting.
